About the Journal

Situated at the nexus of policy, space, and governance, the Journal of Urban Inquiries seeks to deconstruct and reimagine the urban condition. The journal prioritizes critical perspectives on how power operates through urban policy, how space is produced and contested, and how governance regimes shape everyday life. Moving beyond descriptive accounts, we seek analytical depth that engages with theories of urbanism, political economy, and spatial justice. We are particularly interested in research that highlights marginalized voices and offers radical alternatives to prevailing models of urban development.
